Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a detail-driven and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will take ownership of the general ledger, manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and provide actionable financial insights to management. The ideal candidate has a strong background in financial reporting, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to mentor junior accounting staff.

What you'll do

• Financial Operations: Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and bank feeds.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly and annual financial statements, budget variances, and cash flow forecasts.
• Compliance & Tax: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws, and assist with external audits and regulatory filings.
• Process Improvement: Evaluate current accounting processes and internal controls, recommending enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.

What we're looking for

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) designation is strongly preferred.
• Experience: 3 to 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting or mid-to-large corporate experience is a plus).
